About Us
Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood is a community-based, non-profit organization that has been providing advocacy, education and medical services for reproductive health care in the capital region since 1934.The agency serves Albany, Columbia, Greene and Rensselaer Counties. In 2008, we provided health-care services including GYN exams and cancer screenings, birth control information and supplies, pregnancy testing and options counseling, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, the Gardasil vaccine for prevention of HPV, and abortion services to over 14,000 patients and presented over 500 education programs reaching over 7,000 youth and young adults. UHPP services are delivered with special concern for the underserved.
